This project is an art installation centered on the piano of artist Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Inheriting the spirit of “social sculpture” that he embodied, it serves as an experiment exploring the coexistence of nature and civilization.
On March 11, 2026—fifteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake—
Seitaro Yamazaki will initiate this project in Hirono Town, Fukushima Prefecture.
Through the public presentation of this experiment,
the project seeks to share Sakamoto’s intellectual legacy while creating a space for profound reflection on the reconstruction of Fukushima,
humanity’s relationship with nature, and the meaning of time itself.
